What is the legal age to be on a plane by yourself?

Is there a certain age to be able to ride in a plane by yourself?

I was guessing 18, but I don't really know.

I kind of thought you could at any age, as long as you could get a ticket by yourself and such. What is the legal age to be on a plane by yourself?Getting a ticket by yourself and flying unaccompanied on a plane are two different things. Most airlines have regulations regarding unaccompanied underage travellers, so it is best to check with the airline that you want to fly on to find out what their requirements are. My neice and nephew flew from Italy to the US when they 8 and 10 respectively. This was done with their parents permission and they were escorted directly to me by airline personnel when they arrived. (Obviously, there is no way that they could have purchased those tickets themselves.) So, it is important to have a conversation with the airline to find out what their rules and regulations are. Hope this helps. What is the legal age to be on a plane by yourself?you can really be any age you just have to pay extra if your under like 15 , an unacomponied minor and yu have to be with the flight attendent and shel make sure yur okay. i was 11 when i flew alone to denver from cincinnati it was cool she just came and checked on me every so often... it was kinda nice. What is the legal age to be on a plane by yourself?i think its different in all countries.
