Ok i was wondering what is the cheapest plane you could buy but a real good quality is.?

the plane is just for recreational flying.Ok i was wondering what is the cheapest plane you could buy but a real good quality is.?In light aircraft, there is a large difference in 4 passenger (pilot plus three) aircraft and 6 passenger (pilot plus 5) and even greater difference in 8 (pilot plus 7).

You can get good used aircraft for 4 starting around 30K like Cessna 172's and Piper Cherokees. Once you move to 6 place aircraft your are looking into a large "class" shift to things like the Cessna 210 or 206 or Piper Lance or Cherokee 6 the prices are much much higher. Good clean used ones start out around 60K with most closer to 100K.

Move into 8 place aircraft and you enter a different world entirely. A Cessna Caravan (for a single engine) around 1.2million, or into Twins like the Piper Chieftain (probably the least expensive for 8 place) starting around 100K (and will need some work at that price)

or you are into the King Airs and light jets starting around 800K and most in the 1.5-4million range.

So even when you "narrow" you range to say 4 -8 passengers that really is a big range of aircraft! Go shopping for some, there are tons of online sites that you can look to see the "asking" prices!

the Controller http://controller.com Aircraft shopper Online http://aso.com and Trade A Plane http://tradeaplane.com are three of the bigger sites. Then check Jet Net http://jetnet.com for jets,Ok i was wondering what is the cheapest plane you could buy but a real good quality is.?
Varies, depending on your definition of "recreational" flying. The type of equipment you require how many passengers, how long a range you need, etc.

Airplanes can be purchased for as little as mid-20thousand dollar range in fairly good mechanical shape (even if rough in appearance)... but those planes won't be very practical (or useful) for cross-country cruising, heavy hauling, etc.

No way to really answer this question clearly unless you can more fully define the mission you'd like the plane to perform.

Good cross-country haulers (1-2 people plus light bags) can be had for 30-50k, again depending on equipment and mission parameters.

You can get a local-area low %26amp; slow flyer for around 20-25k (1 person, no long distances, VFR only).

If you need to fly over mountains, long distances, across large bodies of water; travel at high speed; carry more than 1-2 people; fly out of back-country airfields, etc - the price jumps dramatically.

Can't name specific makes %26amp; models until you more-clearly define what is meant by "recreational flying".Ok i was wondering what is the cheapest plane you could buy but a real good quality is.?For some real recreation, get an Antonov AN-2. There are a few on the market, and some are below $50,000. Check out the Antonov AN-2 Owners' Club on the internet. There are some regulatory problems, but you can usually work around them. Expect to spend some money on maintenance.Ok i was wondering what is the cheapest plane you could buy but a real good quality is.?
I would say a cessna would be good.Or a Cirrus SR20 or SR22Ok i was wondering what is the cheapest plane you could buy but a real good quality is.?My instructor has a friend that bought an old CJ1 still in flying condition for just over $200,000 US dollars
