Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down?

Every time I start a flight, they put me on the runway ready to fly, I don't want that, but I can't find an option to start be with the plane shut down. Also. When I land I want to be able to taxi to a gate. Is there a way to do that?Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down?I had the same problem!!. But my friend was able to

start at the gate... so he told me to go were it said (Active runway)

scroll down and you will see all the gates from that just chose the gate !!!! oh and for taxing to a gate when you land just

consult the air traffic control before you land to get a runway to land on the air traffic control will tell you. When you land it will have the option to taxi to the gate the only problem is in order to do so you need to be flying a flight when you aren't just pic agate any gate!!! HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!!! ......TyIs there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down?
Yes there is. select a flight, shut the engines down and then save it under another name. then anytime you select that saved flight it will begin with the engines shut down.

To taxi to gate, you can continue the flight after it ends it when you land.Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down? When you land at most large airports and exit the runway, there is an option to taxi to a gate or taxi to parking. Just follow the instructions from the ground controllers. You can also press %26lt;shift E%26gt; to open the exit doors on the aircraft once you've parked at the gate and shut down engines. Save the flight, and next time, you can start up in the configuration you left it in.Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down?
Nice game, but what does it have to do with cars???Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down? It's a good thing u asked. I also have the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. There is a way to start your plane at a different location. Before you start your flight click on the flight planner and it will also show a place to set your airplane's location. Click on active runway and your plane will be in another part of the airport. As for to taxi the airplane there will be roads connecting to the runway. Take one of the paths until you park your airplane near the gate.Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down?
Shut down the engines (and do other changes as necessary), then press ; (semicolon) to save the flight. When the save dialog box comes up, check the 'Make this my default flight' box.

Yes, you can taxi; keep the speed between 20-30 kts on the ground and use the rudder (and differential brakes - F11 and F12 - if needed) to turn on taxiways. Is there a way in Flight Simulator 2004 to start with a flight with the plane shut down?
For taxiing, use the ILS system when you're getting ready to land. As to starting in mid-air, engines off, yes you can, if I recall you can set your autopilot for the area of the air you wish in the menu that gives you the choice of where to start from.
