When there is an serious incident of a plane, what does the flight display board print?

For example, if there is a hijacking in process, or a plane has exploded, what is the information printed on the flight arrival display board? Does it print DELAYED or CANCELLED or something else? How people who are waiting for loved ones at the airport to arrived are informed about this devastating news at first instance?

I've never been in a situation like this - fingers crossed - but am curious if anyone knows. When there is an serious incident of a plane, what does the flight display board print? If a plane has crashed, the flight board says “See Desk” or “See Airline” or “Contact Desk”.

It doesn’t say Cancelled or Delayed, it says one of the 3 above. The need to let the families know as soon as possible, before it gets to the media. When there is an serious incident of a plane, what does the flight display board print?Well if there's a hijacking or explosion, usually the entire airport will go into lockdown mode straight away - no planes will leave, announcements will play, and guards will prevent anyone from leaving. That's probably the first sign. When there is an serious incident of a plane, what does the flight display board print?Wow, this is a great question. For some strange reason I seem to think it says: "see agent" or something like that. Would really like to know for sure. Good luck!!
