what is a way to get out of work



i work at papa ginos and i am a deliverly driver and i am looking to get out going into work because i have to goto a comedy show at 7 and i have to work until 10pm



so plz give me some ideas to not have to goto workGood ways to get out of work?

You need to switch with someone else, sweeten the deal if need be, by offering them something extra. Obviously you may have to sweeten the deal to get them to accept.

Don't embarrass your father by just not showing up or giving a lame excuse. If you can't go, then sell your tickets, or gift them to someone you owe a favour to.

Don't bail on your job, it's your responsibility that you took on when you started there. Live up to their expectations, it's the right thing to do.

The best way would be to tell your boss way in advance that you needed the day off. Can dad cover for you that night? To take the time off without dong this is risky. I'm not saying it hasn't been done but if caught you will loss your job. Migraine, 24 hour flu, ate something that disagreed with you. Don't expect the boss to believe it if your back to normal the following day. Many workers do this and even if you really are sick bosses usually don't believe a person was sick if only a 1 day illness. They may not say anything or simply ask how you feel when you return but chances are they have doubts.

Not being able to get to work due to car trouble may be tricky since they might find someone to pick you up f they are really stuck.

As for whether they can fire you, this is always a possibility. Good ways to get out of work?

Tell them your family has been accused of Terrorism and you are going to Cuba to bust them out of Guantanamo Bay.



Plan a fake kidnapping of yourself, and escape the next day. Call the police and the press. You will need as much clout as possible.

Dont say anything. Just tell them after that it was unplanned and you tried coming to work but; traffic, gf broke up, someone died, funeral, didnt have the means to go to work like no car, etc.

OR tell ur boss b4hand, tell him that you really need the day off that it's a family emergency u gotta go to another state.

I would call out sick... By OSHA they can't ask for any details of your illness (its illegal) that that is always your best bet.
The truth is if you're willing to ditch this job then you're truly not passionate. Find what you really want to be and pursue it. The rest will follow. Of course for that to happen you need to GET OFF YOUR LAZY *** AND FIND OUT WHAT IT IS YOU WANT TO BE....good luck
Call them up and tell them you are in the emergency room, that you passed out at home and they had to call an ambulance.

Or you can tell them your car broke down and you are stranded.
well if your a girl tell him you have really bad cramps and can't go to work.

or you can tell him you have lightning diarrhea so you won't be able go in to work.
Honestly, switch shifts with someone and tell them you will return the favor....it isn't right to just bail and leave the store short handed...especially on a busy night....do the right thing....

learn to book off time ahead of time, ask to leave early, say ur house flooding, someone in ur family stranded somewhere... like zillion different ways man all depends on how crazy u want it to be lol
say you need the time off for personal reasons





edit: give the guy a break people. whats so dumb about going to a comedy show and taking 3 hours off?
if you really work hard at work you can always just be honest with your boss and he/she might let you off, after all its better safe then sorry and broke :(
