When I place an order online for delivery at Papa Ginos they charge a $1.75 surcharge for delivery... do I still need to tip the delivery person?Do I need to tip them?
It would be a nice gesture to give the driver a couple of dollars. Delivery charges irk me, but it's not the delivery persons fault.........Do I need to tip them?
Yes. The Big Book of Etiquette says you clearly must tip the driver...the money that Papa Gino's is charging is probably not going to the delivery driver...99% of the time it is not. Put yourself in the shoes of the delivery driver who is probably making way below minimum wage.
