87 suzuki samurai wont start?

i was just driving it and it started boggin down badly then quit. it has spark, new cap, rotor button and wires. Cranks strong and almost starts if held wide open, tried dumping gas in carb. It did start twice in the middle of all this and idled at 4300 rpms but has not done it again.Im thinkin maybe timing or the carb could be screwed but im no expert. Maybe even the computer fried.87 suzuki samurai wont start?
Sounds like fuel starvation. Loosen gas cap - listen for a "whoosh" which would mean the tank vent system is not working. Look at tank to make sure it is not collapsed due to vacuum. Check fuel filter and pump delivery. 22 year old car - could be varnish or rust in tank blocking off fuel intake.87 suzuki samurai wont start?
check timing belt and also fuel pump87 suzuki samurai wont start?
I'm guessing fuel filter clogged or carb needs replaced or rebuilt. It needs to be looked at by someone who has some general automotive knowledge. It could easily be one or two of about twenty different things.

Good luck
