I have an 86 Suzuki Samurai and I want to put on two inch shackles do I have to extend lines?

I want to lift my 86 two inches using shackles can I just throw them on or what do I need to do THANKS Also what about 4 inch shackles thxI have an 86 Suzuki Samurai and I want to put on two inch shackles do I have to extend lines?
You will not need extended brake lines but you may have other problems. Adding 2 inch longer shackles will not net you 2 inches more of lift. Because of the angle that shackles set you may only get and inch to an inch and a half. With adding a 2 inch longer shackle the biggest problem you are going to have is steering. Adding the longer shackle will rotated the axle throwing your camber and toe out of alignment. You will see a reduced turning radius, pulling from side to side and possibly drive line vibrations caused by the rotation of the pinion angle.

A better option if your looking for a cheap lift would be a 3/4 inch lift shackle with a 1 inch body lift. Do a search online because there are tons of parts available for Sami's.

Good luck

Im not exactly sure, but picturing it in my head, if you do that, the lines should all be on the axle, there for not needing more lines.

and if so, it cant be to bad. I added inches to lines in a matter of minutes, screw it on there and there and its done..
