How do I draw a curved line in the cartesian coordiante plane?

Hi I'm a year 2 highschool student. And I have a project in Math that involves drawing using the cartesian plane. I intended to draw the Taj Mahal but I forgot I didn't know how to draw a curved line in the cartesian plane. Can anyone tell me how??How do I draw a curved line in the cartesian coordiante plane? There's several methods, but generally speaking, exponents are used to produce curves on the Cartesian coordinate system. For example, y = x^2 produces a parabola starting at (0,0). Similarly, you can produce a semi-circle using x^2 + y^2 = r^2.
