Lift a 86 Suzuki Samurai?!?

I have a 86 stock suzuki sammy and want to put about 3-4 inches of lift on it. I heard a SOA is good? I dont have a lot of money though. I just want it to look better and perform a little better off road. I dont think I want a body lift.. (i'm not huge into off roading, but i go once or twice a month) I drive it everyday as my main car btw. hopefully around 400 or 500 dollars max? and where could I go to get it installed? haha im not the best with cars. :)Lift a 86 Suzuki Samurai?!?
These kits are installed by 4x4 shops (but not for $500!). You have to detach the body from the frame and remove the axles. Not something you'd do in your driveway on a weekend! The stock Samurai has plenty of clearance for what you're doing. You could maybe mount some P215x15 tires on Tracker 5.5" wheels as a low-cost upgrade. 16" Tracker/Sportage rims also work, but they're expensive. Don't use the 8" aftermarket rims, they're designed for Dodge trucks and are a real disappointment for most.
