Suzuki Samurai engine build add-ons ?

am looking at buying a replacement engine for my 1990 Suzuki samurai..

I have found it.. and know the company is reputable.. its about $1000.. Basic rebuild long-block..



My question.. Before I buy I would like enhancements for a little more horse power... tork.. maybe a different cam.. or bigger pistons.. Are there enhancements I can have done to the engine before hand that will not be more then 500 that will beef it up a bit... this is not include carburation... Just Long block clean... Im not interested in spending thousands on extra internal supped up engine parts..... I dont want to do that.. Just a little more cash for a little more horse power...

None that I know of, I would ask the company your buying the engine from...
