I'm looking into purchasing a Suzuki Samurai from this guy. He says he has swapped the 1.3 liter motor for a 350 V8 Chevy Trailblazer engine. My question is, what kind of problems should I be concerned about in terms of whether he did this swap correctly? Is this motor just too much for the stock parts to handle?Suzuki Samurai question?
OK, while the suzuki does have the room in the engine bay thing that also would have to be checked to see if this was done right are, did he replace the axles ? the Stock ones will not handle the torque of the V8 so those would have to be swapped, along with the transfer case (if it is still a 4x4), the springs would have to have been replaced (Jeep Wrangler springs will work). So if it is stock and if you have a heavy foot then yes you can expect breakage, the stock parts are tuff but the ring and pinon in the axle is the weak link.
the Quick way that this could be done is to also swap in Jeep running gear it will be wider (unless you narrow the axles
