Will a 1988 Suzuki Samurai need inspection?

Its 23 years old so its not past the historic vehicle 25 year mark in Maryland (the age past which an inspection is not required). I know, however, there is an exception for Jeeps such that they need only to be 20 years old since they are no longer manufactured by Jeep (this I know as a fact). I was wondering, does the same rule apply to the Suzuki Samurai which is no longer in production ONLY in the U.S.? I would like to not pay inspection costs...Will a 1988 Suzuki Samurai need inspection?
If you're setting it up as an offroad rig, why would you worry about inspecting it?Will a 1988 Suzuki Samurai need inspection?
The guys are right, you do not need inspection if the vehicle is going to be use OFF ROAD. The Samurai are great little off road vehicle, if you are not in a hurry. I've seen guys with Chevy V6 engine installed onto it and some with Caterpillar traction. The possibilities are endless on this vehicle, just not a very good vehicle to be riding fast on curvy roads. Will a 1988 Suzuki Samurai need inspection?
I think ONLY your local DMV can answer your question. And - if you are NOT going to operate it on the road - then you would only need whatever off road permit is required - if any.

BTW - Jeeps were never manufactured by "Jeep". War Jeeps were made by Ford and Willys. Then American Motors bought Willys - then today Chrysler makes Jeeps.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU OWN A SUZUKI SAMURAI!!! THAT'S SO F*CKING SAD!!!
