Is Suzuki Samurai for me?

I have always loved jeep rides, and wanted one of my own since highschool. My father got me a pontiac sunfire in grade 12, and I have been using it for te past three years now. Recently though, a friend of my dad's told me how he has a 1995 Suzuki Samurai for sale that he got at the auction. It has 89,000 kms on it, and is in very good condition overall. My pontiac is not worth more than 1500 bucks, but he said that he would just trade it with the jeep and not charge me any extra money, which i should then consider my birthday gift.

My dad is against me getting the jeep, because I only ever drive to work 10 kms away from home, or once a week I drive about 30 kms away to go ride. I would rarely, if ever, take the jeep off-road, and so my dad thinks i'll be stupid to buy it. i really have my heart set on it though, and i need some advice on whether i should follow my heart or my dad's practical mind?Is Suzuki Samurai for me?
if you got that sunfire in grade 12 then you are about 20 or 21 right? If so, then dad has no say in what you choose to drive. It is that simple. You are an adult so get the jeepIs Suzuki Samurai for me?
Consumer Reports tested the Samurai and found that the thing rolled over VERY easily. They even tested a Jeep Wrangler for the same test and it did NOT even threaten to roll.

The Samurai is a deathtrap on wheels. Avoid at all costs.
