I am 17 and looking to buy a 4X4 this summer. What should I get? I am looking at a Samurai and need to know how well they drive. I need to get to school and back but also would like to go off road. Please help!Are Suzuki Samurai's a good vehicle?
If you like crap, then it's a great vehicle.
In all honesty, the engines in them were actually not bad... but they ran rough when cold, and parts are now VERY hard to find. Also, as mentioned above, the Samurai was notorious enough to be deemed "unsafe" by most auto publications. A short wheelbase and a boxy frame equaled many on their side if you turned a corner too quickly.

They are some of the most unsafe vehicles on the road, very high center of gravity. The thing is a death trap.
